That’s the common situation that most people could encounter. People like to have paperback or hardcover scanned into PDF for wording, studying or reading. However, protected PDF files are image-based files. It is hard to edit on them.

Some questions like that:
1. Remove password from PDF Mac restrictions, Some PDFs can be viewed, but not copied or printed, and I find this annoying, and it makes it harder for me to use the files.
2. I got a PDF from a company with some information i needed, but i'd like to remove the password so i don't have to put it in each time. I know the password, but don't know how to remove it. Any thoughts, i'm on a PC, but also could do it on my mac.

PDF security:
There two types of secured PDF documents: your file can ask for password when opening the document, or, your file opens normally, but some operations are restricted (e.g, printing or editing) and requires password for unlocking it. The first password is known as document open (or user) password, and the second is permissions password (also known as a master or owner password).
